THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

KERIÐ CRATER
Kerið is a volcanic crater lake located in the Grímsnes area in south Iceland, along the Golden Circle.It is one of several crater lakes in the area, known as Iceland's Western Volcanic Zone, which includes the Reykjanes peninsula and the Langjökull Glacier, created as the land moved over a localized hotspot, but it is the one that has the most visually recognizable caldera still intact.
Kerið is 2 minute drive or 12 minute walk from the VIP Villa.

GULLFOSS
Gullfoss is not only Iceland's best-known waterfall but also one of the most striking and impressive thanks to its double-tiered waterfall plunging a total of 105 feet (31 metres). Located to the east of the Golden Circle, Gullfoss has come to be recognised as Iceland's most famous waterfall.
Gullfoss is 47 minute drive from the VIP Villa.

GEYSIR
A favourite stop along the Golden Circle is the highly active Geysir Hot Spring Area with boiling mud pits, exploding geysers. A favorite is lively Strokkur geyser, which spouts water 30 metres (100 ft) into the air every few minutes.

ÞINGVELLIR
Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is a historic site and national park in Iceland, east of Reykjavík. It's known for the Alþing (Althing), the site of Iceland's parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. On the site are the Þingvellir Church and the ruins of old stone shelters. The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of 2 tectonic plates, with rocky cliffs and fissures like the huge Almannagjá fault.
Þingvellir is 36 minute drive from the VIP Villa.

Golf Club Öndverðarnes invites you to experience its 18-hole course set in the breathtaking landscapes of Grímsnes. Designed to be both fun and challenging, the course welcomes golfers of all levels to enjoy the game in outstanding conditions.
This golf club is 7 minute drive from the VIP Villa.

KIÐJABERG GOLF CLUB
is located in Grímsnes, Árnessýsla, and was founded in 1993. The course lies along the banks of the Hvítá river, which runs beside several of the fairways. The course was designed by Hannes Þorsteinsson, and from the beginning it was intended to be 18 holes.
This golf club is 11 minute drive from the VIP Villa.

A charming countryside restaurant surrounded by nature & a unique spot set in a former dairy, serving delicious dishes and drinks with a rustic, welcoming atmosphere.

ÞRASTALUNDUR
Thrastalundur restaurant has stunning views over the river Sogið and a very romantic and peaceful ambience to it. Their menu consist of some traditional Icelandic dishes, such as the meat soup and the Icelandic lamb, however, Thrastalundur’s specialities are their weekend brunch and their pizza’s. Their brunch is a big hit and for a good reason. Their brunch menu is perfect to share and consists of scrambled eggs, fruit salad, sour-dough bread, fresh orange juice, cheese and parma ham, bacon, American pancakes among other refreshments. You will not walk out feeling hungry after this hearty and well-presented brunch. Their brunch concept has become so successful that it is recommended to book a table in advance.

THE OLD DAIRY
Street food at its best! The Old Dairy is a must-visit destination for all food lovers. Food Hall with 9 restaurants with cuisines from all over the world and focus on local ingredients. Located in The Old New Town of Selfoss, the largest town in South Iceland, 45 minute drive from Reykjavik and a part of the famous Golden Circle route.
